New content management tool boosts team productivity by 8X and unlocks the Cricut Contributing Artist Program.
Cricut was on the brink of bringing in hundreds of external illustrators and artists to add value to the ever-growing content library and Cricut Access Subscription.
In order to validate the quality, compatibility, and discoverability of the anticipated 800,000+ images, I designed a custom internal tool for the Cricut team to manage, assign, and escalate incoming images – enabling the program to successfully launch and scale.

Requirement discovery and MVP scoping
-
User research interviews & usability testing
-
Interaction and visual design
-
Detailed prototyping and deliverables for all screens
-
QA of development builds and pre-flight testing
-
Roadmap for ongoing improvements and features

Significantly reduced time to publish of new images
-
Enabled processing of 672,000+ images and growing (18,000 in the first 3 months)
Long-term benefits unlocked:

-
A reliable workflow tool informed by the team's needs
-
Roadmap of automations and enhancements
-
Tool that scales with the team
-
Separate workstreams for different types of users
